Wellspring Harvest was born out of Wellspring Cooperative, a parent company that seeks to create cooperative work environments in "job desserts", with the eventual aim of turning said companies over to the worker/owners.
In the case of Wellspring Harvest, this resulted in a hydroponic greenhouse that grows lettuce and herbs, year round, in Indian Orchard. We provide fresh, local produce to institutions, retail spaces, and school systems. We also create skilled labor jobs for a diverse workforce of Indian Orchard and Springfield residents.
