Picture
Atlas Farm is a certified organic vegetable farm with its roots in the fertile soil of the Connecticut River Valley. Gideon Porth started the farm in 2004 on 2.5 acres of rented land and is now farming 120 acres in Deerfield, MA and surrounding towns. They grow a wide selection of crops, with a particular focus on bunched greens, head lettuce, and heirloom tomatoes. In the winter months, they store potatoes and root crops with the goal of providing our community with the freshest possible produce, year-round. Atlas Farm strives to be a model of ecological food production. They engage in organic farming practices that sustain the ecosystems around us, and work to minimize their resource consumption and environmental impact with constant improvements to their farm systems.
